Roy, our latest weekly binner winner!

Here’s our latest weekly jackpot winner, Roy!

Roy, who lives in Derbyshire, right next to the Peak District, (a beautiful part of the UK), has been litter-picking for years now. He has two children and two grandsons.

He found out about LitterLotto through a litter-picking Facebook group and downloaded the app immediately. Having worked for his local constabulary for almost 40 years Roy knows how to get stuff done! He regularly reports fly tipping and litter issues to his local council and to the relevant Facebook groups.

Since October 2018 Roy has collected over 1,200 bags of litter, which is an incredible achievement but a reminder of the mammoth task we all have on our hands. ????

He shared a funny altercation he had with a rather angry swan during one litter-picking afternoon;

“A couple of weeks ago I was litter-picking at one of my local nature reserves. I left my bag of litter on the path to recover some litter from the lake. When I returned to the bag a swan had it’s head in the bag rummaging through the contents for food. I stepped towards the swan it started to hiss and flap it’s wings, so I walked away for a couple of minutes.” ????

Better to be safe than sorry!

Anyway, Roy plans to spend his winnings on a short break for himself and his wife. Well deserved we say.

For anyone who hasn’t downloaded or used LitterLotto yet, Roy has a few wise words;

Putting litter in a bin is the responsible thing and you could win some money with LitterLotto now, so why not!

Congratulations Roy and thank you for being our Binner Winner.

Love from The LitterLotto Team. ❤️
